Anna Kohlweis is an interdisciplinary artist merging writing, painting, music, fiber art, sculpture, video, and illustration. Kohlweis has been a performer and recording artist as Paper Bird and Squalloscope and is one half of the band Twin Tooth. She was an artist in residence and has exhibited and performed at various institutions throughout Europe and the U.S. She has illustrated various publications, wrote and recorded film scores, and occasionally teaches workshops around the topics of storytelling, songwriting, and zinemaking. Currently, Kohlweis is based in Vienna, Austria.
