Art Files: Aaron Schraeter
Aaron Schraeter’s work explores creative reuse as a launchpad to make images and objects that reflect his experience as a lifelong city dweller. Using reclaimed materials like wood, newspaper, and found objects, Schraeter transforms his surroundings into symbols, such as skulls, birds, bugs, and flowers. Thematically, this combination of objects and materials is used to express life, death, struggle, and hope.
